Kym's addiction to big blocks and extreme horsepower in boats may not be apparent by his lack of boasting & bragging, but going by the look of his current boat 'No Remorse' it's blatantly obvious- this man dedicates his life to the sport.

Kym has been racing and tinkering with big blocks in boats for over 10 years. His love of boat racing began with his river boat 'Energy' - a yellow and blue Stephens hull sporting a 454 with exhausts over the back. Some more than mild tinkering resulted in Kym and his mates cruising the river in a ski boat powered by an engine rivalling many raceboats of the time.

A conversion to racing saw Kym take out the rookie of the year award, and by then the hunger for more speed and even more power had already began to plague his mind. Since 2001 Kym has been campaigning his new boat 'No Remorse' which is a genuine EVERCRAFT built by Malcom Everingham, and the final setup configured by none other than racing legend Mark Lewins.

The red bullet is powered by one very mean 510ci big block with a 1471 Littlefield blower, together with a customary "Big 'n' Ugly" injector hat to help force that extra bit of fuel & air into the mix. Hand built by Kym himself, this engine configuration contains a couple of innovations not tried by any other race team. An estimated 1500 horsepower is at the drivers toes.

Put simply, Kym is improving and posting faster lap times with every race he participates in. Getting a handle on a machine of this calibre does not happen overnight, and it is by no means the type of weapon that you take unecessary risks with. This type of horsepower must be respected, and Kym certainly does that- no high flying prop-walks or bunny hops from this competitor: just pure & clean racing.

Speaking of respect, Kym shows plenty not only to his boat & competitors but also the fans. People need not worry about approaching this driver on a race day as you'll often see him chatting with spectators young and old about his performances on the water, no matter how busy he is preparing for the next race. A true advocate of the sport.

With more and more time in the seat, this driver could soon be mixing it at the head of the field with interstate teams such as 'Rival' and 'Liberty'' at speeds that his boat can easily match.
