WIPED OUT

Terry Smith is lucky to be un-injured after an incident at Bundy Thunder yesterday.
After coming to a halt on course, around half way down the back straight at Sandy Hook, Smith was a sitting duck in Alcatraz and another 6 litre boat 'Wild Child' careened into the driver's side and although the driver was un-scathed the blow has heavily damaged the boat.
Experts say however the boat can be repaired.
"I was propped up in my seat waving my arms in the air, I didn't even see the other boat coming" Terry said yesterday.
"All of a sudden I heard this almighty crash and then a boat went past me."
Other news from Bundy includes Dave Clark's podium finish in the Bradley Pratt Memorial, a final involving the incredibly fast 6 litre boats Image & The Chase. Although Clark finished second in his heat, the 6 litre boats qualified faster in their races and had inside poles for the final race.
An un-deterred Clark made use of the extra horsepower to leave the 6 litre boats in his wake and took second in the final race, only to Troy Marland in the newly repaired Madness which screamed up and down the river.
Our other 6 litre carby advocate John Warren backed up last years Bundy Thunder campaign with another consistent performance in 'Balls'n'All' and continued his good form.
The Adelaide Speedboat Club congratulates these teams on their efforts and may they all have a safe journey home.
