Destination Windsor
16th September 2009
As boat racing recovers from the BBS 'hangover', all attention shifts now to Windsor where the Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Spectacular starts next week. A handful of Adelaide's class competitors are heading over to create a stir in the mix of over 18 blown boats, plus some of the best 6 litre boats in the country.
These include our two B.A.D advocates Agent Orange and Tuff E Nuff. Both teams have been constantly on the improve over the last couple of seasons and drivers Trevor Stanley and Dave Clark will be looking to make their impression's felt on the Hawkesbury.
Another B.A.D campaigner is newcomer Totally X-Static driven by Bob Swinburne. The team is fresh into the category but the guys have been making inroads and have all the right shiny new equipment to mix it with the best. Fellow 6 cylinder rival Red Bellies will also be at the event and it will be interesting to see how Swinburne's combo matches up against the ChildsPlay open boat.
Of the 6 litre guys the Agent Orange crew will again be pitted along side Terry Smith's Alcatraz which will of course be competing in the 6 litre carby category.
Brian Jeffrey is also busy readying his entourage for the trip East and it is unknown whether 'Bondage' will be sporting the injected or carby 6 litre engine. Either way 'BJ' is no stranger to competition abroad and indeed on the Hawkesbury so no doubt he will be in the mix.
Last but not least is our number one contender for The Menace Cup - Jeffrey Stunell is back in business in the 6 litre class and In Excess will be sporting a fresh engine by Magor Automotive.
The competition interstate always comes thick and fast, and these guys will have to step up to the plate come race day to contend with a list of entries like this:
Unleashed Rival Liberty Fury Rythum Tuff E Nuff Red Bellies Truely Wicked Out Law Patriot Agent Orange She's the Culprit Typhoon Bad Influence Stir em up (Still to Confirm) Alfie Airbourne Totally X Tatic 6 Litre Injected for the Menace Cup. Solace Chase Ultra Desperado Oxygen thieft Joe jr Explicted Eliminator Image and more.
Best of luck to all teams who will be "hitting the white line" very soon, headed to Windsor NSW 1300km away. |
