THE HEAT IS ON!!!
Along with the Australian summer, the HI POINTS Series for unlimited displacement is certainly heating up. With double points up for grabs, round 4 is a chance for the guys to either catch up or break away on points.

With Bruce Jordan in good form and at the top of the table boasting a considerable lead, he will be looking to consolidate in The Real Thing this weekend. The pressure will be on after suffering from cornering difficulties last time on the course at Martins Bend.
Kym Hankins has nudged up into second place with No Remorse finding consistency mid-season, and having one of the highest arsenal of raceboats around he will certainly be up there with the front runners at the first turn buoy.
Separated by just 100 points are Trevor Stanley, Tim May and Dave Clark, so provided all these guys can make it up the river with their boats Agent Orange, Tuff 'e' Nuff and The Boss, we'll all be in for some spectacular racing that could even rival what we've seen previously at the Berri Resort Hotel Spectacular events held just a few miles downstream.
Appearing last time at the Bend was Robbie Eisenburg in Freight Train and there's every chance it will be back on the water again. Ken and "The Mob" have been flat out getting Insanity back together, so look forward to seeing Neil Laundy back behind the wheel and chasing points in "The Old Girl" for the first time this season.
Of the support classes, Tom Barnhard will need to be working overtime to keep Bondage and Alcatraz from reducing the big lead he has in the 6 litre class.
Chris Wellington from JAC Racing will also be under pressure to get in front of new found rival Proformance, having been beaten by Ellise Borg last time at the Bend. These two are competing closely for bragging rights in the Formula Stock class.
DON'T MISS ANY OF THE ACTION!! Celebrate Australia Day, come to Berri for a weekend on one of the great Australian rivers, complete with our unique brand of hi octane motor racing. I've even heard whispers of a team or two testing on Saturday the 24th, so if you head up early you may get a sneak peek!
