A disturbing outside chance for the Les Schrapel Memorial
22nd January 2010
Russell & Mark Ward would have woken eagerly this morning as they head to Berri with their hydroplane 'Disturbed' which will be gracing the water for the first time this season today.

| Disturbed - Mark Ward |
Being one of the two 6 litre hydroplanes entered this weekend, Ward will be coming up against Russel Jones in 'Thunderstruck' and both teams will be working hard to get their boats around the tight course. An outside run obviously being ideal for the wide turning machines, both boats will be fighting for their ideal racing line.
With the Les Schrapel being unlimited un-blown, there is no restriction on the type of hull allowed to be used which makes 'Disturbed' an ideal candidate to mix it up with the top 6 litre boats in the country.
Given the speed this boat showed at Adelaide before the team encountered electircal problems, Ward may yet show a few of the displacement boats up. Terminal speed won't be a problem, the placings will most likely be determined in the corners.
With hydroplanes becoming a rare sight, particularly in South Autralia, 'Distrubed' will be a welcome sight for race fans. Spectacular rooster tails and straight line speed will be on show on the mighty Murray- keep your eyes on the white and maroon boat this weekend.
Wishing Russell & Mark all the best this weekend.
