Tuff'E'Nuff and K-88 all go at the drag racing championships

Paul Palazzo and Dave Clark have represented South Australia at the Australian Drag Racing Championships and both their boats effectively finished on the
podium in the B.A.D class.
For the drag racing, 'Team P.R.E' suited up 6 litre champion Jeff Stunell for his first drive of a blown alcohol displacement. Although untidy on a few occasions Stunell quickly got a handle on the flatbottom and pushed the limits, seeming comfortable in the open cockpit and pushing as hard as usual.
The red Stephens hull looked fast when Stunell was on it and he effectively took third in points scored for the day, missing out on the final race.
With the Tuff'E'Nuff team eager to find their good form again after being sidelined from a racing incident at Berri, their performance was strong. The boat isn't only looking better than ever, it is right back at it's best in terms of performance after clocking a staggering 141mph in the final race.
Alongside Clark in the final was an in form Wayne Hodgson in 'Rythum' who took the win by a mear half-boat length.
Congratulations to th winners and both our SA teams should be commended for their efforts in Victoria. We all look forward to a head to head this weekend on the circuit at North Arm.
