After plenty of racing abroad in the passing weeks we turn now to our own shores at the North Arm and round 3 of the HI POINTS Series for South Australia is looking to pack some punch.
Trevor Stanley is back in town after taking back to back Errol Jay championships and after posting 141mph in Granton he will surely impress with 'Agent Orange'.
Dave Clark and his team have been super busy restoring their B.A.D boat and after 'Tuff'E'Nuff' also posted 141mph at the drags in Victoria last weekend we are set for a showdown between two of SA's best.
Ken Arnott enjoys the local series and will once again represent the Murraylands and "The Mob" with Insanity. This will be just his second outing since first stepping back in the old girl last round in January.
Will this be the turn of the tide for Toyota team 'Totally X-Static'? We all hope so. Everyone knows this boat has got the goods and it is only a matter of time until all the bugs are ironed out. The engine had to be removed & everything cleaned after the oil fire at last months twilight racing so these guys may not make it in time.
Blown Lite entrant David Satterly heads to Taree at Easter time and may use this weekend's racing as an opportunity to test his wares.
Terry Smith will be giving the BAD Boys a stir with what is fast becoming a proven combination- an Aussie boat with a NASCAR engine. Terry is also fresh from National competition in Tasmania.
Chris Wellington will continue his consistent form withe newly badged "66" boat 'JAC Racing' and may come up against new found rival Steve Moritz in 'Red Raw'.
Need we say it if we already knew it? Of course the outboard gang will be in full force 7 afield in the 25/550's and the battle of the juniors is also set to continue with rookie matchup between Borg and Clark in the J1 class.
Can anyone challenge rising star Linton Price? His dominance is set to continue on board his tunnel boat 'Showbags' but keep your eyes on last years champion Geoff Cutler.
Starting time TBA.
