The Sun was shining and the wind was blowing while the 6 litre carby class showcased it's level of speed and consistency with 3 NASCAR powered open deck boats putting on a show for the crowd.
With both B.A.D entries unable to take part, 6 litre entry 'Kelsabel' took the honors in the ASBC's 2nd club day of the season and was the quickest boat for the day.
Jeff Stunell had ignition problems while his spanner man Jamie Magor was still busy interstate looking for the remainder of the paint job. With In Excess running well below par Stunell pulled the pin with 1 race remaining.
This left his eldest son Ryan to represent the family along with outboard tunnel boats & Stunell Jnr. ran third in the last race, seemingly at a much faster pace that in his previous race which was an encounter with Balls N All & Totally X-Static. That race was a close one to call & had a similar margin to the two front horses in this years Melbourne Cup.
Representing yet another class was Adam Stunell in Tuff'E'Nuff 25HP. He, Lauren Jackson & Geoff Cutler did battle while usual participant Mike Smith watched on from the sidelines.
A new boat amongst Adelaide's fleet is none other than Jamie Royal's new Evercraft sporting yet another NASCAR engine. It runs like a dream straight out of the box - initial reports state that Jamie hit 119MPH on his first outing which is certainly at the pointy end of 6 litre competition.
