Vicious Rumours sparks to life at Super Chevvy Sunday

With only the final stages remaining of the fit out on Garry Wilson's top alcohol hydro 'Vicious Rumours', the boys took the boat down to Super Chevvy Sunday on the 6th of February and made some noise for the crowd.

Ironically, the very man who inspired Wilson to embark on the mammoth task of building a drag boat, American Scott Price (pictured above left) was in the area while holidaying in South Australia.

Many would remember in 1998 when Price demonstrated his top fuel hydroplane 'Kentucky Thunder' at the Adelaide Speedboat Club as part of a national tour that Garry was involved in. Price made news headlines after mis-judging his run off and was sent hurling into the mangroves at the northern end of the course. His life was spared thanks to an F-16 cockpit window.
