It is with mixed emotions that I report on the end of a racing era. Team owner Ken Arnott has announced that 'Insanity - S02' will be officially retired from competing at major meetings.

In an unfortunate turn of events top contenders 'Red Bellies' and 'Proformance' have suffered terminal damage to their engines recently.
Bruce Sanders in 'Red Bellies' failed to finish at Taree in NSW, while Dean Borg blew holes in both sides of his 540ci big block Chev after looking very fast in his new boat during practice on Sunday.
Hard luck to both teams and we wish you all the best in a speedy recovery.
