IN EXCESS (Jeff Stunnel)
A wild card 6 litre boat taking on the best of the BAD boats in Australia! The 'In Excess' team is a recent National Title holding outfit that unfortunately couldn't defend that title in Mildura due to some engine damage in practice in the lead up.
Word is that they have been testing an ex 'Sprint Car' engine in the boat that has shown some serious potential. Any one who follows Sprint Cars would know that these engines are built strong and regularly run 20 and 40 lap features and therefore they are tough and must be reliable.
The crew has had a few weeks to sort out the oil pressure problems with the new engine configuration so you can expect them to be 'ready to go' for the Showdown. They would like nothing more than to be right in the middle of the BAD boats come Sunday arvo and the 6 litre injected boats have a habit of being very competitive against the blown outfits.
For: Capsule hull, turning ability, strong team in own regular class, home track.
 Against: No substitute for horsepower, have the engine 'issues' been sorted.
