K88 -aka 'Beautiful Noise' (Tony Scarlata USA)
Could this be the biggest surprise packet in Blown Boat Racing in Australia in recent memory? It has been a dream for Paul Palazzo and his team to bring the 'Flat Bottom' back to the Adelaide Speedboat Club for some time and their dream is fast becoming a reality. From the look of the boat, these guys dream big! The turn out of the boat is fantastic and from all reports it goes just as well as it looks 'thank you very much'. If well respected driver Neil Laundy gives it the thumbs up after testing the boat recently, you can be assured that the K88 team have a pretty good package.
Add to this the biggest coup in Aussie BAD Boat racing since the World Cup in '07 with none other than Tony Scarlata, the man regarded by many as THE BEST peddler of a Blown Flat Bottom boat going around, being imported from the USA to drive the boat at the Showdown. Well if nothing else, it will be worth the price of admission just to watch this guy try and extract every ounce out of Paul Palazzo's 'Dream machine'.
Can the Flat Bottom take it up to the Displacements? If anyone can do it, it must be Tony Scarlata.
 However, its going to cost you $25 to find out!
