Stanley looks to be the man to beat
5th December 2009
Testing for this weekends round of HI POINTS action saw Australian Champion Trevor Stanley take to the water in a number of test runs.
Trying out some different boat combinations, the Agent Orange team looked to improve with each outing and onlookers were quickly reminded why Trevor is in the number 1 spot nation wide.
Despite the jaw dropping terminal speed that was on display there did appear to be some minor issues with the handling on the straights.
"It feels good right up until I hit the 130 mile per hour mark" Trevor said after his second run. "After that it becomes a little un-nerving".
In the third and final run the boat looked to be back at its best, the result of some adjustments to the cavitation plates.
John Warren also took to the water in Balls 'n' All just to get a feel for the course and after 2 short laps he was obviously happy with the setup and returned to the bank.
Warren will be eager to get on top of his main rival Tom Barnhard in 'Bite Me' during tomorrows racing.
Ken Arnott was also present but did not run the boat, saving it all for tomorrow.
Racing starts shortly after 10:30am Sunday the 6th of December.
