This Sunday the 6th of December, all classes of boats will be contesting for points on the short course which has in the past proven difficult to navigate for some drivers.
Entering the series for the first time this season will be current Australian champion Trevor Stanley in the recently refreshed 'Agent Orange'.
Dave Clark is looking to extend his lead in the series after a good run in round 1 at Adelaide, and he won't be caught snoozing at the start line again after he was beaten by fellow competitor Terry Smith. Expect the blue team to build on the outstanding form they've been enjoying at home and abroad.
Ken Arnott will be putting the rent-a-driver's aside this weekend and is having another shot in the hot seat himself. The short course should suit the old 20 footer 'Insanity'.
Some talk of interstate interest from teams in the SuperSport category has reached home and we could see yet another monster field of 25/550 boats battling it out. The SA boys will certainly be doing their best to keep the Vics from taking home any of their potential championship points.
Several newcomers to the J2/Formula Future class will be on the water including Roe and Borg who on his debut scored 9 points putting him in third position on the championship table.
Our other HI-POINTS regulars including Wellington, Barnhard & Warren will be tearing up the course yet again and the pressure will be on the 2 Modified division boats who have been racing ever so closely on each occasion they meet.
Arriving on time this weekend will be essential as the race program will be completed as quickly as possible. Drivers briefing at 10:00 am sharp at Martin's Bend.
