Satterly eyes Blown Lites Championship

8th September 2009

David Satterly, who has been out of action for the good part of two race seasons, is considering re entering the competition in the Blown Lites class.

The Titan boat, an Everingham hull, has been sidelined after some consistent campaigning with a blown small block engine. This particular engine was put up for sale to make way for an all aluminium blown big block, but the introduction of the Blown Lites class could revive the use of the small block Chevy in Titan.

The combination would be ideal. The 19ft boats corner like they're on rails and are well suited to small block engines. Given Satterly's lengthy experience on the water, the Titan race team could well be a prominent competitor come 2010.

Having run an 8/71 supercharger previously, Satterly will need to convert to a 6/71 in order to comply with the class' restrictions, should he go ahead with the move.

Round 1 of the Blown Lites takes place at the Berri Resort Hotel Spectacular on January 23-24 2010.
