PROMOTION
The Adelaide Speedboat Club utilises Radio and Print/Screen Media to promote and support race meetings.
This is usually in the form of Press Release Material and community announcements on radio, to display advertisements and editorials in the newspapers.
For Major events, such as the " Dorwin Gold Cup" and "Bad Boat Showdown" race meetings, an intense radio-advertising schedule and prime time television (where budget allows) is usually adopted and on air interviews are organised wherever possible.
Boat displays are held throughout the year in Major Shopping complexes, such as Rundle Mall and West Lakes Mall , at other well patronised venues such as Sprint Auto Parts and Bunnings stores , venues throughout Glenelg, and at the annual Recreational Boating and Fishing Show.
Static Displays as well as track parades where possible are held at other motor sport facilities such as events at A delaide International Raceway and Speedway City at Virginia . The club also takes part in the annual Port Adelaide Christmas Pageant.
Over past seasons, Evening Television Sports Bulletins have consistently included an excellent coverage of our major events in their general sports reports. This year we endeavour to achieve the same result. To maximise available exposure potential, we would encourage you to supply banners for erection around the venue.
